Staying and learning in Prato, so close to Florence in the beautiful Tuscany.

 

“Glass Art Academy” has always had its headquarters just a few steps from the historical centre of Prato. 

Thanks to the artists and craftsmen who made the city famous all over the world, Prato is rich in historical references of its ancient history.

The school has inherited the Renaissance spirit typical of this region giving new meaning to this great historical lesson: teachers have always taken into account changes in lifestyle, according to different historical and social conditions, taken care of the specific need of their students who come from all four corners of the world.

The concept of glass window has surprisingly developed during the last 50 years, due to artists who have led their research towards contemporary creation. Methods, processes, and functionality of glass window have been profoundly modified also thanks to the job we have been doing in our school.

You can find a large laboratory and a classroom for drawing and theoretical lessons. Besides the showroom and the facilities, the school offers its students a free wi-fi connection.

The lab for lessons and practice can provide everybody all kind of equipment.

“Glass Art Academy” students can benefit from a well-furnished library dedicated to glass manufacturing: a small collection of books, manuals, catalogues, magazines from all over the world.
