COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course is addressed to those who have already experienced the glass manufacturing and have a basic knowledge of glass fusion.

Students must work out some projects. During each step of the planning, teachers give an adequate technical support concerning the proprieties and the compatibility analysis of the materials, along with the cooking diagrams that have to be done.

A mould will be done for the making of the “Pate de verre”.

A bas-relief and a high-relief in plaster for the fusion with lamina and copper net and bubbles. A slab with under glass mosaic and controlled bubble glass.

 

PROGRAM

* Making of shapes and plaster moulds.
* Plane cooking with bubbles.
* Planning and making of bas-relief and high relief.
* Under glass mosaics and controlled bubble glass.

DIDACTIC MATERIAL

Sheets, tracing paper, pencils, felt-tip pens, glue, plaster.
Glass cutter, square, pliers.
Glass, oxides, copper lamina and copper net.
Cleaning material.

Once the course is finished, students will keep for themselves the object they have made.
